Ten Toes Down - The Black Ballerina
In light of Women’s History Month, our team partnered with Freed of London to highlight the journey of black ballerinas. The photo series combines fashion, nostalgia, movement, and history to highlight just how important representation is. In 2018, Freed introduced brown and bronze satin shoes, acknowledging the lack of diversity and inclusion that existed within the industry for centuries. We decided to create a piece around representation in dance, teaming with pointe professional, Jordan Peterson.
