Stephen Ojo is a Nigerian-American multidisciplinary artist with the world in his hands. His family migrated to the USA when he was 11, which immediately opened his eyes to his potential as a creative polymath. Stephen’s journey through self-discovery has since opened many doors while providing him with the utmost confidence. Before starring in Beyonce’s ‘Black is King’, Ojo had already been making waves as a choreographer, musician, and soccer player. The man of many hats never seems to settle, using each opportunity as motivation for the one to follow.

Finding My Feet invites viewers into Stephen’s dynamic world.

The love is also rhythmic. Stephen and Bemi are pictured here in Stephen’s living space. As musicians within the same industry, both Stephen and Bemi find ways to support and guide one another through their craft.

To live in Stephen’s world is to understand his dedication to various hobbies. His love for soccer is truly unmatched. When he hangs up his dancing shoes, he laces up his soccer cleats for Zum Schneider FC, a local NYC club. It comes as no surprise that this passion for soccer was carried from his childhood years in Nigeria, he began playing competitively at the age of 7.

Stephen and friends continue to build their names as dance giants through the streets of New York. Pictured here is Caleb Bonney, and Samuel Kyei alongside Mr. Ojo. The three (amongst many others) have choreographed together for years, and have even gone as far as facilitated workshops for dancers nationwide. The strength in brotherhood is evident.

Finding My Feet is the first of many Sunday School stories that highlights coming of age journeys. We look to use visual storytelling as a method of discovery and empowerment on behalf of these independent narratives. ‘Finding My Feet’ is a concept that opens doors for conversations about joy, assimilation, change, vulnerability, amongst many other important topics amongst our community. Always remember that the only constant is change, and the journey is often nonlinear. Stories like these remind one to continue finding your feet as you walk in your purpose.
